Lighting is visual, so that’s how we work.

Our proposals are often extensively researched, with fieldwork, photographic studies, historical research, and evaluation of the night time environment at the project location.

This information is used to prepare concept visualizations and outline proposals which are then presented to our clients in a highly graphical style.

Concept designs are normally accompanied with an outline technical specification, a schedule of recommended luminaires for the project, and an indication of the budget required to achieve the design if the budget has not been defined by the client.

The concept images presented here are from real projects, some of which may also be found on the realised page of this website.

Even where we are not successful in persuading a client to progress our concept designs, we retain the pictures as a resource and an example of our work.

We encourage our clients to examine existing concept designs and to comment on them, as a useful way to initiate a creative dialogue.
